Catalog Update - 2025
This year’s catalog is now available for download

The 2025 IE product catalog is now available for download. This year, we introduced the Versatile Light System (VLS) for KPI testing according to the IEEE-P2020 standard for automotive image quality. We’ve also entered into a new strategic partnership with AEON and began selling the AEON Camera Calibrator for machine vision measurements according to EMVA 1288. Our iQ-Lab has also started offering a variety of new tests for cameras from almost all industries.
Machine Vision Test Solutions
Using the AEON Camera Calibrator for EMVA 1288 measurements

The AEON Camera Calibrator (ACC) is a modular optical system designed to test machine vision cameras based directly on the measurement parameters outlined in the EMVA (European Machine Vision Association)1288 standard, including linearity, noise, sensitivity, spatial inhomogeneities, and dark current.
The ACC is available in two sizes, one designed for standard sensors and another capable of handling sensors with diagonals up to 80 mm. It utilizes adjustable LED light sources and evaluation software. The authors of EMVA 1288 have used this solution to validate the standard.
EMVA 1288 will soon be adapted to an ISO standard. ISO 24942 is currently under development, with Dietmar Wueller leading the initiative.
Machine Vision Image Quality
A review of the image quality factors and test solutions

Machine vision systems are critical to numerous applications, including manufacturing, robotics, logistics, automated driving, and virtual reality. Unlike traditional camera systems (e.g., DSLR or mobile phone cameras), which prioritize image quality desirable to a human observer, these systems process visual data to perform specific tasks.
With such a focus on high accuracy and safety, it is essential to understand the crucial image quality factors such as camera sensitivity, linearity, noise, dark current, and spatial nonuniformities and the test solutions to test these factors.
Check out our latest blog post for an overview of machine vision image quality, including use cases and a review of the factors.
Studio Lights for Uniform Illumination
The Studio Lights are ideal for basic camera test labs

We offer basic Studio Lights for test labs with limited space or those just getting started with image quality testing. These lights are standard RGBW light sources for reflective target illumination. We use these lights in our iQ-Lab for quick camera assessment using a reflective test chart.
Main features:
- Brightness > 1.2 kW Soft Light
- Adjust color temperature between 2800 K and 10000 K
- Dimmable in a wide intensity range with exceptionally high spectral stability
- Ideal for test labs with limited space or in need of a basic setup
Slanted Edge Test Charts
Measuring camera resolution performance according to ISO 12233

One of our latest charts is the slanted edge, TE296, test chart. This chart uses gray patches for linearization and is designed per ISO 12233 (2023) specifications for camera resolution measurements. TE296 has straight diagonal edges and is available with a 4:1 (standard version) or 6:1 contrast ratio. The 6:1 can reduce the influence of noise on the e-SFR measurement.
