Update to the VLS-Control and VLS-Evaluation Software
The latest release of the VLS Software (version 1.1.0) contains many new features. The VLS-Evaluation Software now includes measurements of CSNR (contrast signal to noise ratio), CNR (contrast to noise ratio), and Dynamic Range. We have also added MMP (modulated light mitigation probability) to the VLS-Control and the VLS-Evaluation software. Check out the changelog for all the updates.
Please note that the VLS-Evaluation software is sold separately from the VLS device and VLS-Control software. Please contact our sales team for more information. For those who already have the VLS device, the VLS-Control software can be downloaded from our website.
VLS- Versatile Light System
An illumination solution for IEEE-P2020 measurements
The VLS is our new illumination solution that efficiently measures the crucial KPIs outlined in the IEEE-P2020 standard, such as contrast transfer accuracy (CTA). Six Vega light sources power this light setup. Each Vega is attached to an arm that can be manually positioned at various angles. Vega is a DC-driven high-precision light source for testing cameras with very short exposure times, such as automotive-grade systems.
The VLS software includes VLS-Control for easy test sequence generation and VLS-Evaluation (sold separately) for straightforward test results analysis.
iQ-Analyzer-X CH
The latest edition to the iQ-Analyzer-X software line
We are excited to announce the iQ-Analyzer-X CH, the latest development in the iQ-Analyzer software line. The Cultural Heritage (CH) version is dedicated analysis software for archiving professionals who document and preserve our past. This software differs from the standard iQ-Analyzer-X software in that it is optimized for cultural heritage test charts such as the UTT (Universal Test Target) multipurpose test target.
With this release, we are offering a special bundle price that includes the software and a free UTT A3 test chart (TE262-A3). Other sizes are also available, but the price difference from the A3 applies. This offer is valid until September 30, 2024. Contact our sales team for details.
AEON and IE Join Forces
A new strategic cooperation between IE and AEON
AEON and Image Engineering are pleased to announce a new strategic cooperation between the companies beginning in quarter three, 2024. AEON’s EMVA 1288 test solution is one of the few commercially available solutions for machine vision camera testing according to the EMVA 1288 standard. AEON does not have the capacity for worldwide marketing and sales and has thus begun pursuing a partner to assist. Once trained, IE will support AEON with selling and marketing AEON’s solutions worldwide.
CTO Uwe Artmann says that “while Image Engineering had always aspired to develop its own solution, the company lacked the necessary resources on the software side to support all the different camera interfaces. Therefore, this strategic cooperation with AEON is a perfect match, offering a mutually beneficial solution that could propel EMVA 1288 a significant step forward.”
