A new alignment apparatus co-developed by Fraunhofer FHR and Image Engineering
With Fraunhofer FHR, we have developed a new solution for aligning radar and visual cameras in advanced driver assistance systems.
When visual cameras and radar systems “look in different directions” due to an imperfect alignment, the processor will be misled, thus creating a potential false judgment of the scene, which can ultimately lead to an accident.
The solution combines a visual test pattern and a newly developed active radar reflector for calibrating and testing the orientation of both systems to each other.
VCX seminar

Our subsidiary in China will be hosting a seminar on VCX, the mobile phone standard that ranks mobile phone cameras based on various image quality performance tests. We currently produce 250+ test charts that cover the full spectrum of image quality testing. These charts cover everything from a basic ColorChecker to advanced OECF charts for automotive camera testing. Nevertheless, we understand that we can’t cover every camera test requirement to satisfy all individual performance checks, so we offer the opportunity for custom chart creation.
