Over the years, we have assisted numerous companies in setting up a camera test lab to fit their testing requirements. Most test labs need similar surroundings, such as a dark, temperature-controlled space, to ensure a proper setup can be installed. These setups can then vary depending on what type of system is under development and what KPIs (key performance indicators) are required in the industry.
Many labs require large areas of space for testing cameras at a distance, while others only need a small corner and a tabletop setup. For new labs just looking to start with image quality testing, we recommend a basic test lab setup and then building out a more extensive lab as requirements and industry standards evolve.
Our basic test lab bundle includes a multipurpose test chart that allows you to test multiple image quality factors, such as resolution, dynamic range, color accuracy, and texture loss, in one test image. These charts eliminate the need for a complex test stand that holds multiple charts and saves storage space. For uniform illumination, we offer Studio Lights as a basic light source. Finally, the bundle includes the iQ-Analyzer-X evaluation software, which uses AI-powered chart detection for more efficient and high-speed analysis.

Included products:

TE42-LL
Multipurpose test chart
TE42-LL is a multipurpose test chart for testing multiple image quality factors on one chart plane. This chart is also optimized for low-light testing scenarios (based on ISO 19093). Factors that can be tested include resolution, texture reproduction, dynamic range, noise, color reproduction, distortion, shading, and chromatic aberration.

Studio Lights
Basic uniform light sources
The Studio Lights are standard RGBW light sources that provide flexible camera testing using reflective targets, such as the TE42-LL. They can illuminate the test scene uniformly while controlling the intensity and white point.

iQ-Analyzer-X
Evalution software
iQ-Analyzer-X is our advanced image quality evaluation software. Using AI-powered chart detection and high-speed analyses, you can learn precisely where your camera system may need improvement. This software is compatible with the TE42-LL and many other popular test charts.
